Looking for a way to stop this pop up, It's rather annoying & I'm sick of seeing it.
I'm also setting up steam for my younger cousin & don't want them blasted with marketing pop ups.

Click Steam at the Steam menu (top left) > Settings > Interface.
(Toggle OFF) "Notify me about additions or changes to my games, new releases, and upcoming releases"
While you are in the interface settings, you can also change it to start up in the library instead of the store.
