I (34F) bought a house with (39M) just over 2 years ago. I earn significantly less than him. (Only around 16k now as my workplace is struggling so reduced everyones hours 6 months ago) He earns around 70K. I am currrently looking for a new job. I've never had any job pay higher than 27k so I doubt I've got a large pension which does really concern me.

The house we bought cost £385 but this was around the peak in 2023 and I believe it's probably dropped in value since even though we have don the boiler/electrics/fixed the roof and are slowly redecorating. I put down the entire deposit of 110k (my entire savings over a 12 year period) so our mortgage is around £1200 a month but we do now make overpayments of £250. He pays the mortgage atm because I put down the deposit.

I have built some savings back up and currently have 15k in a fixed ISA from the last tax year. He has 6k credit card debt which he is paying off and has just opened a stocks and shares ISA to start some savings. I want to know is this an okay position to be in and what else could I be doing?

I've looked at a LISA but wouldn't know which type. I am nervous about stocks and shares as I have no experience with it but maybe that is the best option?

Many thanks.
