Hey guys

Can someone explain to me why this is happening at the very start of the game. I am getting attacked in melee range by the very first enemy in the game. I cast a spell(I am arcane sorc) which provokes AoO and I make a check to cast defensively which is successful and yet I am getting attacked anyway. I tried several times - same effect. What do I miss here? I do have both Point-Blank Shot and Precise Shot. I am attaching a screenshot -> here Thanks!
