Pasta vs. Noodles: What's the actual difference? And why is eating pasta with chopsticks considered a "crime"?
I’ve always wondered about the exact line between pasta and noodles. From what I gather, it comes down to ingredients (durum wheat vs. soft wheat/rice/etc.) and the process (extruded through molds vs. pulled or cut).
But my main question is: Why is it so frowned upon to eat long pasta (like spaghetti) with chopsticks? 🥢
Honestly, chopsticks give you way better grip and control than twirling with a fork! Is it purely about respecting Italian culinary tradition, or is there a practical reason I’m missing (like how the sauce clings to it)?
Would love to hear your thoughts!
