In the recent Office Hours session, Owen addressed the difference in estimates for a couple retiring earlier than 60/65. The reason was Service Canada's estimate assumes that you'll work until the age that you trigger CPP, whereas in reality, you'll get less because you're retiring before those CPP age milestones. In my case, I plan to retire at 62, and have elected to start taking CPP at age 70. However, my CPP estimate is higher in Adviice vs the estimate from Service Canada. Is that because Service Canada is quoting the payment in today's dollars, vs the platform (table at the bottom) is in future dollars?
