Hello, my roommate is moving out so im looking for someone to take over her bedroom. This is a large 2br/a.5ba pre-war building with an elevator in Yorkville near 86th and 1st. The apartment is on the 7th floor. There is laundry in the basement and trash chute on the floor at the end of the hallway. I've been here for almost 3 years and i love it. It's a very large sunny apartment 5 min walk from the Q and 15 min walk from the 4/5/6 and a short walk to both Carl Schurz Park and Central Park. My current lease is up on 5/31 so looking to sign soon! move in date would be 6/1.

Details:

- Rent: $4516 total ($2108 for the room).

- Lease: 12 months (i am trying to negotiate to 18 and decrease the rent price)

- Utilities: $60-$350 for electric (depends on month) | Wi-fi right now is $90 but we don't have to use Verizon.

Room:

The room is 8.6x10.1. It fits a queen (can fit a king) with space for an armoire and small desk. There is a decent amount of closet space. The room will come unfurnished. The room has a split unit ac/heater under the large south east facing window.

Apartment:

- the common areas will be furnished. Most the furniture is my roommates but she is going to leave the couches. I will replace the rest of the furniture unless you want to bring your own.

- There is one large full bathroom with a tub/shower, medicine cabinet, and sink storage. I only use the mini half bathroom except for when i shower.

- The living room is very large, about 12x18. one entire wall is all windows so it is very sun soaked.

- kitchen has a full standard electric oven, full fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and lots of cabinet spaces.

- laundry in the basement. Super is not on-site but nearby and responds to calls quickly.

- I have a rabbit but he mostly stays in my room but sometimes chills in the living room. I don't mind if you have a cat (as long as they get along with other animals) but i would prefer no dog as they require a pet deposit/additional fee.

About me / What i am looking for:

I (31 F) am an attorney and work on a hybrid schedule (typically 2 days in the office). I have a busy workload so i tend to keep things pretty low-key at home and spend most of my time in my room. I enjoy cooking so i am also in the kitchen fairly often. I am very clean and organized and i would prefer someone who values the same level of cleanliness and respect for shared spaces. I dont frequently have guests over and prefer a calm, quiet environment - especially during the week. I dont care about weekends but im looking for someone who does not bring the party home regularly. I am looking for a roommate in their late 20s mid 30s (male or female doesnt matter to me) with stable full-time work and is willing to sign a 12 month up to 18 months lease.

Hello, I (31 F) looking for a roommate to join my lease when my current roommate moves out. I have been in this apartment since October 2023 and looking to stay. This is a large, sunny 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom, apartment with hardwood floors throughout. The apartment is located in Yorkville. 5-8 minute walk from the 86th St. Q and about a 15 minute walk from the 4/5/6. A couple streets from Carl Schurz Park and 20/25 min walk from Central Park.

The move in date is 6/1/26. The lease term is for 12 months (but i am trying to negotiate for 18 months so the end date will be in the all 2028). Rent for the room is $2108/mo + utilities (electric ranges from $60-$350 depending on time of year).

The available room is 8.6x10.1, unfurnished, large east facing window, and closet. There is an independent split-unit AC/heat in each bedroom and the living room. The bedroom can fit a king bed (queen or smaller would give more space), an armoire, and a small desk. (First image is said room)

You’ll primarily have the large full bathroom to yourself. I only use the large bathroom to shower.

The apartment itself is on the 7th floor of an elevator building. There is laundry in the basement and a garbage chute on the floor. The living is very large with windows across one wall. The living room will be partially furnished. Most of the furniture in it right now is my current roommate's furniture which she will be taking. You can either bring your own or i will refurnish. the kitchen consists of a full sized fridge, full size electric oven, dishwasher, and lots of cabinets.

Edited to make post shorter.
