I was looking at the new Sentra at the dealer the other day, and I loved it, especially the SL interior. The redesign feels way more upscale than I expected for the price.
But it also got me thinking why doesn’t Nissan offer a wagon version of the Sentra or even the Altima? Mostly the Sentra now that it’s been redesigned. I’m personally not huge on sedans because they’re not always practical for me, but a Sentra wagon with optional AWD would honestly be really practical/interesting. Something like a “Sentra Touring” or “Sentra Allroad” type model.
Since I couldn’t really find any renderings online, I used AI to make up what one could look like, and it honestly looks like something Nissan could really build. And especially now that cars like the Kia K4 hatchback are being offered, rumors of a wagon variant keep popping up, and vehicles like the Toyota Crown Signia show there’s still some market for practical long-roof cars in the U.S.
I’ve also seen a few reviews and discussions mentioning that the platform seems like it may have been engineered with room for AWD at some point, even though only FWD is offered right now.
And well I’m mostly just posting this to see if I’m the only one who’d actually want to see a Sentra wagon and AWD option offered someday.
Hopefully before 2027
