How are you 2-4 months out? To be blunt, do you have a lot of diarrhea? Planning a long vacation abroad this fall and wonder if I should delay the surgery

My gallbladder issues are not terrible. One persistent gallstone. No attacks other than a little pinching sensation. HIDA showed ejection fraction fell from 79% to 24% in the last two years. I know it needs to go, but what kind of issues will I face a few months out? I'm particuarly concerned about the frequent diarrhea that I hear a lot about. That would put a damper on things. I'll be in the UK for 6 -8 weeks with plans to leave around August 25. Planes, trains, and a lot on foot. If it helps, I'm 64 and my doctor said it would be easier to get it over with before I get older. My surgery date is set for May 28. Wondering if I should reschedule for later this fall.

Also, bile binders may not be the optimal route due to certain meds I take.

I have a Resmed N30i mask that I wear sometimes, in rotation with others. Decided to get a P30i cushion to put on it to try out the pillows style and see if the leak rate was lower. Didn't want to invest as much for a test, so I ordered a generic one from Amazon. The little vent piece on it with the white filter inside has so many loose fibers both inside and outside of it. I could rinse it out, but I suspect whatever the filter is made of will continue to shed. I don't want to inhale the fibers - especially after the Phillips issue. Does anyone have a P30i cushion and notice any white fibers shedding?

I will need to have surgery within a couple of months. I do NOT want to go to the Medical Center. I found an old post here rating Indian Path as the 5th best hospital within 100 miles (the better ones were in NC). Is Indian Path still a solid choice ? Is Sycamore Shoals ok?

EDIT: Lots of helpful opinions and advice here, thank you! Turns out my options are more limited than I thought. Met with the surgeon today and they can't do it at Indian Path. We will do it at Franklin Woods.
