So I made a mistake and didn’t read my orders completely. I missed the No Earlier Than date, which is for 15JUN. I’ve detached from my previous command as of 04May.

My orders state that “provided no excess leave is involved, member is authorized to delay 30 days in reporting to count as leave (milpersman 1050-150)”.

1050-150 also says “(1) The total number of days delay authorized in orders may be exceeded provided neither the detaching month nor the report-no-later-than date is affected.”

And milpersman 1050-010 says in PCS LEAVE TABLE 1-5 that if service member is returning from an overseas duty station (I’m detaching from Japan and going state side) then on request SM can be authorized up to 60 days of leave.

So I’ll be taking 41 days of leave, of which I have 20, and I’ll get charged 21 days of advance leave, which I will be able to pay back since I’ll be staying in for at least another 5 years.

My gaining command also says they’d prefer I stay on leave. So I guess I’m good? I could ask my detailer for an ordmod if ya’ll think I need to.
