What do you think this is?

Found it in my flower bed. I've not a clue what it could be aside from some sort of sapling? Should I save and plant them? I am in a new building with a large yard and I love trees. So if they are something that would be pretty so plant i will try to cultivate them more inside before planting!

I've got another one for you guys!

I found these in my flower bed. They don't really look like my coral bells or the trees I have in my yard. They look to be saplings and I am all for planting more trees. But what kind do you think it is? The stem is smooth and a brown ochre color, kind of glossy.

Look at his smoochable face!

It is almost a month now since wee Waffles came home. He is so clever and so smoochable! He is very pouty when he gets scolded, and couldn't give a whit about any of the treats offered. But give him some words of praise and he goes WILD.

He's been out in the garden with me and is lovely with my son. I have a feeling I will be having more of these little babies in my life going forward.

This has grown in my yard last year and this year.

I am in iowa, and it comes up every spring. It looks like rhubarb and Google lens seems to think so. I am overly cautious though and want to confirm if it is, or if it is just a random weed.

Thank you in advance!
