Practice/recording spaces
Hey all,
I would like to get some ideas on how everyone gets their practice time in without starting a fight with their neighbors and getting cops or landlords called on them.
Rant:
Maybe I've been unlucky, or doing it wrong, but I feel like every time I play drums, someone complains to me, the landlord, or the cops. I've rented spaces and had access to church kits in the past but I don't have that right now. Even with those spaces it's been hit or miss.
The latest complaint happened when my gf was playing in my living room with brushes on practice pads.
I want to record drums... I'll even do it with towels and low volume cymbals! but I'm sick of everyone getting mad at me.
TLDR:
How do you all get in your practice time? Do you rent a space? Do you own a cabin in the woods? Am I cursed with the most intolerable neighbors? Maybe I'm just taking people's bitching too seriously?
