Guodong v Yuelong Ended Early On iPlayer
After the Mark Williams v Antoni Kowalski match finished, I switched over to BBC iPlayer to watch the remainder of the Xiao Guodong v Zhou Yuelong match, which was in the 8th frame. When that frame concluded, the transmission just ended as though it was the end of the session. My understanding was that they play 9 frames in the first session, so I went back into the BBC red button service, and there is just a BBC Sport card and background music, no live frame 9.
So I switched over to HBO Max to check, and sure enough, they are back playing frame 9 now as I type, so BBC ended the red button transmission early, which I feel it's very poor indeed. Especially if like me, you really wanted to see how the session ended, but thankfully I get TNT Sports on HBO Max through my TV provider.
