Yesterday I was reinstalling my system and visited the website of the manufacturer of my main trackball mouse – Zelotes. I fought my way through the janky site and, when I got to the driver download page, I was a little taken aback. The very first line listed a driver for the Zelotes F33 PRO (I have the F33). I checked everything, and it turned out they hadn’t even had time to add the information about the new model to their site yet.

I wrote to their official email asking them to confirm my hunch about the new model (thank god for neural networks – I can write directly in Chinese) and received an encouraging response: Yes, the new model has already gone into production, it’s already available on the Chinese wholesale market 1688, and will soon appear on Amazon (at the end of May).

Based on what I’ve seen, this thing is worth it. They’ve FINALLY added a combo USB‑C port so you can connect the mouse to your PC without Bluetooth or a radio receiver.

The key feature is a new encoder with a button and a built‑in curved LED screen that will let you select programmable macros with icons right on the mouse. I’m not sure yet about the level and power of the programmable macros, but that’s really cool in principle. If you can also customize the LED screen’s backlight, that would be absolutely awesome.

I’m waiting for it to show up on Aliexpress shelves.
