My dog is a cockapoo, female 13 years old. Super happy/playful and no internal organ issues (blood panel good)

She has the following in her eye confirmed by Ophthalmologist.

Glaucoma (pressure 40) confirmed for the past month (I would say started 1-2 months before from what I could visibly see) from mature cataract

Ulcerative keratitis (This has now been mostly healed with antibiotics)

Endothelial Edema

Lens luxation

Lens induced uveitis

I’ve been to the Ophthalmologist 3 times in a month. My dog has not started glaucoma medication as the vet said her eye was too cloudy to know exactly the cause and which pressure meds to start her on. I am supposed to go back now to have her checked again.

My question is, even if she starts pressure meds, won’t her eye need to be removed shortly? (i.e. a few months?)

I am having a difficult time assessing if it’s even worth starting pressure meds or if we should have her eye removed. I have a sense that I would be wasting money tying to sustain an eye that won’t get better but I am struggling to get an honest/direct answer from the vet.

Hoping someone has feedback.
