Listen, it's not about who makes him smile, who is that special person or how it happened with that one person but it was about how he started getting that development.
For normal people, smiling is a normal occurrence in our daily life but for someone like Kiyo, it was such a huge thing. It shows that he was being so comfortable during that time.
My question is why people/readers always downplaying that scene? Why? Do they forget that we're talking about white room kid (Kiyo) that never live a normal life? I never understand this
