I love reading the itineraries and suggestions, and hoping to get validation and improvement for mine!

4 people, middle-aged, will be ready to hike/walk 5-10 miles/day. We're spending several days in Grand Teton before. Mid June.

Day 1: Drive into Yellowstone in the afternoon. Visit West Thumb Geyser Basin and sleep in Grant Village.

Day 2: Lower Loop -- thermal features day! Start at dawn at Old Faithful and work our way around until we can't anymore. Sleep at Lake Yellowstone.

Day 3: Drive through Hayden Valley at dawn, and do every stop we care to along Yellowstone Canyon. Stay in Gardiner. Possibility of detouring to Lamar Valley at the end of day.

Day 4: Lamar Valley and Mammoth, stay in Gardiner again.

Day 5: A chance to revisit anything we want to or visit anything we missed (hopefully in the N part of the park), and then drive to Bozeman.

We have specific stops picked out for each of the days, but would love your must-dos, too.
