I've always been interested in the Grid, Norns and Arc, noticing them being used as crucial parts of sequencing, modulation and effects in so many racks. They seem to appear without fail, in all of my favorite patches and modular setups for ambient music. I'm relatively new to modular, and have a pretty small but mighty setup so far, but I'm lacking a dedicated sequencer, and nothing (Marbles, Rene, Bloom, Chaos, Hermod, Westlicht) really seems to catch my eye. The Grid and Norns have really piqued my interest, and it seems that for the amount of sequencing, modulation and fx capabilities, it's really hard to beat. Teletype seems insanely powerful too, for not only my Just Friends but for Grids. I am ware Monome is extremely hard to find and expensive as well, trust me I'd love module alternatives.

Am I jumping the gun on this? How's your personal experience with Monome? Is this really fixing the issue I have? (lack of a dedicated sequencer + some) Are there module alternatives comparable to the tactile and in depth sequencing of Grids?

Just turned 18, pretty cool milestone. Thank god for having lovely and supporting parents who try to make me feel as special as possible and do so much for me, I am eternally grateful. But it stings a little knowing that none of my close friends remembered my birthday when I always remember theirs. Going to get drinks, see a show, plan a little surprise party for whoever’s day it may be, but when it comes to me no one even remembers. I try not to take it to heart because I rarely remember all my friend’s birthdays, but this year, literally no one knew or reached out. Kinda hurt, wondering if anyone can relate. Am I making a big deal out of such a little thing? I tend to do this but I feel especially depressed about it this year.

I've never done crosswords before, but it seems like all my friends, who also don't take crosswords seriously at all are managing to complete these puzzles in a few minutes to even less than a minute! It's taken me from 5-20 minutes to solve some of these minis, and it's making me kind of self conscious? Seems like a very silly thing to be bothered by, but I seriously feel like a chump going into the double-digit-minutes trying to solve a *mini* crossword haha. Is there a tactic or trick I'm missing? Am I just uninformed?

Especially when there's questions about sports, actors, television, I don't know ANY of that stuff. I'm just a music nerd and that's mainly where all my time goes. Like who the hell are "thecavs".. I had to search that one up! hahaha
