Local multiplayer gaming booths

I went on holiday in China last month and thought I'd share some photos of various gaming booths I saw there. I've never seen anything like this in my own country, especially openly accessible like in malls. The vast majority looked to be 2 player set ups and had a lot of common local coop and vs games mentioned on this subreddit. Was wondering if it's common in other countries and what people think about them?

Also how much would you pay to use one of these as an hourly rate?

Locations in order are Shanghai, Nanchang, and De'an.

Mainly an issue I have with steam. I know that curators exist to help mitigate the problem. But it's disappointing that this industry standard hasn't been incorporated into PC ecosystems seeing it's much more commonly used for local multiplayer now than in the past.

I feel that a dedicated option for the number of players you're planning for would make discovery a lot easier.
