Advice on moving into our new tenancy, we’d like a landlords perspective.

Hey everyone, so my wife and I were going around the place we’re meant to be moving into and taking a look around against the inventory, it’s in a great area and meant to be a lovely home.. However, the property continues to smell of heavy smoke, previous tenants had taken out the smoke detectors on viewing and after having a good look around we can see so many black marks on walls like in the photos above, it’s really quite off putting, we’re worried that we may have made the wrong decision, if the landlords aren’t planning to paint over/redecorate the walls and ceilings with all these heavy black marks on, it looks like someone’s attempted to scrub it.

I know the answer would be no, but is there any way we could back out if we just couldn’t stand the smell, our clothes would stink and our friends and family would think wtf have we moved into…

Any advice?

Completely injury prone… need advice!

To keep a long story short, I’ve been running for over 20 years and done various half marathons, PB’d with 2 half’s in a week both coming in at 1.21 at my peak, took a break from intense running for a couple of years and came back to it with 5km/10km etc, nothing major, throughout this never ever been injured. However, last year I applied for a charity place for London marathon 2026 and was successful, followed training as best I could, incorporated bike as well, had my gait redone to make sure I had the right choice of shoe.

But the major issue was, I kept getting injured all along my left leg, Achilles problems, groin problems, it band issues, however, I ran the marathon anyway, aiming for 3:30 but injuries took over and finished in 4:30 which was my C goal (just to finish), don’t get me wrong it was hot, compete opposite to training…

And currently I’ve had two weeks off from running since marathon and just been out today and everything is in pain, left groin, outer left knee, my left glute, pain radiating down my left leg, feel like this has all altered my gait and I’m just incredibly annoyed, frustrated and upset…

What’s the best course of action, should I go for a scan, regular physio again, a chiropractor? I feel so lost and just not sure what to do, sorry for the rant…

As the title states, new and first time MBA owner here…

I have an iPhone 13 mini and have always been on Windows and my last laptop lasted me about 10 years but got sick of the lag so bit the bullet and got this M3 MBA.

I would like to know what are the first things I need to do or add to my MBA when I use it? I primarily want to use this with Claude and maybe one other LLM, not completely automating my life but helping me to understand AI better and how best I can use it to my advantage.

Any tips, tricks or guidance would be super appreciated. Many thanks!

I’ve just bought a new laptop after about 10 years, very much a light user previously but now want to get into harnessing LLMs, AI, etc. I’ve just bought a brand new sealed (unknowingly) M3 MBA with 24gb RAM and 512gb SSD. In the UK we have John Lewis, amongst everything else they also sell tech items which have been returned, unwanted but opened and possibly ex display, this was a discontinued product that hadn’t sold.

My question is, do I sell this product for a profit (I bought it for just under £1200) purchase another and pocket the profit or just keep and use it? Only reason I’m asking this question is because it’s a sealed product….

Thanks!
