I submitted a case to Sony and called customer service - they said they needed proof of purchase (receipt), but I had bought in person at a store and long lost the receipt. The agent told me to call the store and get the receipt again, but after calling the store, they said they don't keep receipts for more than 6 months. Is there a way to bypass their receipt requirement in this case?
