So I recently picked up a prescription refill, and I received a pill from a different manufacturer. I was kind of taken back because I’ve been taking the same pill for the last year and this looked completely different. After taking it for a week, I noticed that my body was going through similar side effects that I had when I first started taking Spironolactone a year ago - Weight gain, loss of appetite, and extreme fatigue.
It feels like a huge setback after finally being able to lose some of the extra weight, start gaining some muscle and gaining way more energy. I don’t understand what’s happening or why and I was wondering if other people have experienced this and what advice you have.
I’m really pissed at the pharmacy and I know they just refill based on their medication availability but when I expressed my concerns, they basically started that it was the same med and shouldn’t have different side effects.
Side note: I am unsure of the manufacturer of my first pill, but I think it’s Oxford (white oval) and I currently am taking a white circle stamped MP 542.
