I’m currently a welding inspector (not CWI certified yet) in Texas relocating to San Diego in October (long story short I’m helping a family member out). I also have a BS in construction management. I’m looking for any good GC’s to apply at? Someone recommended the shipyards to me but I’m not seeing any inspection jobs pop up.

Any CWI’s here? I’m currently an apprentice inspector studying to get my CWI. Any tips on studying or anything specific I should be prepared for? I plan on leaving my current job (they unfortunately don’t pay their inspectors well) How do I go about looking for inspector jobs I feel like everytime I look them up they want 10+ years experience.
