My son grew a bean sprout and then a cup of grass. He kept them alive for like a month growing like a jungle. He LOVES growing. His teacher put seeds in the class treasure box for him. He earned some marigolds seeds. He asked for my help to grow them.

What soil would you suggest. And what planter/pot? Can I start them indoors or would my balcony be best? What has your experience been with Marigolds?

I would appreciate your thoughts. Otherwise I'll take a look at some videos if needed. I want to make sure this goes well. I dont want him to feel discouraged. im so proud of his passion for plants! :)
