Curious about "Legacy" vs "New (Culligan)

Hey there, I have been trying to get some valid info on the older Zerowater vs the newer Culligan branded stuff. Obviously they are both under Culligan and even though they kinda leave the regular Zerowater with older containers and name brand, I read the filters have changed and Culligan kinda ruined the entire show regardless of which you buy...

I was hoping people with their own experience or some reliable links could show me how they actually compare to each other. I bought a Zerowater Legacy style AND a Culligan version, both are unopened at this time. I was planning to return one of them. So far the Culligan is more cups for less $ and the supposedly better dispenser design over the push button classic style.

I mostly want to know the most important part, the filters. What filters are lasting the longest? What is your actual experience, is there any notable taste or benefit to the Culligan (they say it's improved). I read some people have the fishy sour taste in the Culligan filters more than the OG Zerowater filters? Any one have both?

Honestly thought about just going PUR/Brita potentially; really have no interest in 2-3 week filters if that's how it's going to be. Let me know what you think. Thanks!
