Hello all, I am staying at Paradise Inn on May 20th, we are foreigners with no prior snow experience and I have a couple questions.

Based on what I've read so far this is what I have planed.

1. Visit lower altitude places on my way up to Paradise, like Trail of the Shadows and various lakes and waterfalls.
2. Stay at Paradise and snowshoe around the area, since I heard the Skyline trail is too snow-packed at this time. We will be renting snow shoes and poles.
3. Bring my own food since the restaurant is still closed at this time.

My questions are:

1. Is the road safe to drive up in a rental sedan? Chains are no longer needed by this time right?
2. Is parking at Paradise difficult during this time?
3. Do they have microwaves and cutlery available even if the dinning is closed?
4. What other things should I consider for this visit that you think I might have missed?
