I have a pork shoulder joint with skin on , can I make into steaks and if so do I take the skin off first

I’ve been in a bit of a slump and overwhelmed a bit in my second year and a few assignments weren’t done and I don’t think I’ve done too well in a the others will this effect being able to resit a year, I fear they may not allow me to resit . Any advice is welcome
