Tell me your wildest lead story

This weekend I connected with a lead through a new build inquiry. She wanted to see some townhomes and seen the builder was offering 4% back to buy down the rate if you used his lender. She asked if it would be possible to apply this to the down payment because she does not have any funds for one. I said no, however I would be happy to get her in touch with a lender who could go over 0 down programs or down payment assistance. She says yes, talks with my lender, asks my lender to send her over the application, & thanks us for being super helpful/ proactive.

The next day (today) I follow up with her to see if she was able to fill out the application yet. She sends this long text saying how my lender & I made her so uncomfortable, she feels as if we are not displaying “good faith professionalism,” & that she is concerned and was a victim of discrimination. She asks if she can have not only my brokerage’s corporate number, but the builder’s number (who I don’t even work for), so she can file a complaint against me & my lender. She said she has done “plenty of walk throughs without showing proof of income, & for me to deny her that before proving she can afford the home is outrageous.” (Mind you, she’s the one who told me she had no money right off the bat)

A day in the life I guess!

Is anybody else getting extremely burnt out this year from annoying clients? I know with customer service there’s going to be those people that suck to work with. But every single client I’ve closed this year + currently have pending have been a pain in the ass.

Last few things- buyers bought house with cats knowing they have cat allergies. Me & listing agent paid for professional allergen duct cleaning after closing. Apparently it wasn’t good enough, and those clients reached out to the listing agent + me afterwards demanding for something more to be done. No thank you for the $350 we paid for the original cleaning, just a shitty attitude.

Currently have a deal under contract where buyer negotiated $17,000 off list price. She wanted some of the sellers furniture, and they offered a bundle deal for 8 pieces for $1,900. She asked me to ask if they would take $1,700 🙄 I did, and the listing agent has since ignored me on the furniture. Now we just requested 2 minor inspection items be taken care of (gutter extensions & caulking around loose shower head) and the sellers flat out said no bc it’s not a safety item or major defect. She’s giving me push back and telling me to keep pushing on having the shower caulked even though I said we can handle it after closing. I also confirmed with inspector it was just a minor caulk repair & instead of that validating her, she asks if I can send that over to the listing agent???? I said this is what the listing agent said was needed. Now she’s ignoring me.

The other night an investor client of mine wanted to view 3 units from 6:30-8pm. They had me out until 10:15pm and now continues to call me and text me asking millions of questions (the exact same questions I’ve already answered 20x).

I have never dealt with so many needy, unhappy, and argumentative people at once.
