I had new gutters installed around the home. The portion in question is draining roughly 700sqft of roof and drops into the garage gutter. They ran it along the roof, which is fine with me. However, the mounting and transition clearance seems questionable. 1) should they have screwed directly into the roof? If so - no sealant? No alternative bracket that screws or nails under a shingle? This seems like corners were cut. 2) the elbow that drops the 700sqft drainage into the garage gutter seems tight for heavy amounts of rain. The roof providing the runoff is pretty flat, but the gap seems pretty tight, no?
