How come Battlefield 1 is the best performing battlefield, yet the main sub has a hateboner for it?

I bought battlefield 1 and V last year, and those two games were my first bf games ever. In general, I'm a big fan of hardcore milsim games (Arma being the best at that imo). However, last year, since both bf games were dirt cheap, I decided to give them a go. Having no bias or anything like that, I feel like bf1 is the superior game out of those two. I can't speak about bf3 or bf4, since I haven't tried them at all, but I can say with full confidence that bf1 is the best bf game (I have bought bf6 and I like it a lot). Obviously, it's not a perfect game, and it has some issues, but the quality of it outweighs all the negatives imo. Now, if this were just my personal opinion, I would leave it at that. But this seems to be the mainstream opinion. A 10 year old game is beating both V and 2042 by quite a big margin.

However, the main battlefield sub doesn't reflect that at all. Whenever I speak positively about bf1, I get a lot of downvotes. Every time bf1 is brought up, the immediate argument is "uhh, bfv is better." They also repeat the same word that truly annoys me: the word "gunplay." Idk which youtuber started it, but it has become a buzzword that everybody repeats.

What gives?
