Soderstrom is one one out away from hitting in the .100s...Butler is already there and not leaving it.

Two years of weak hitting for both of them. If they commit to Colby Thomas and Bolte...there is no way they would be worse with a reasonable chance they will be better.

Colby seems to play center better than right...he has speed. If Soderstrom and Butler were playing in a bigger market, they would be getting booed nightly.

Contracts, Kotsay's managing, and playing for the future may impact decisions on winning now, but this team has to find ways to score more because of our pitching.

Launch angle and exit velocity has killed hitting the other way. Now the infield alignment always has a player standing behind second base.

Easily 5+ ground ball, line drives fielded there each game. Couldn't we find 1-2 spots in the lineup for contact hitters to hit the other way...there is only 1 guy there! Then the other 7 can swing out of their shoes on every pitch?

I wonder if teams out there will figure out that fans don't give a shit if their announcers are ex MLB players because they are the worst ones to listen to. Understandably, they are programmed to make excuses for the players they cover because it's how it worked as a teammate.

Watching baseball on TV or listening on the radio is supposed to be entertaining for fans. Some team will eventually try to get a booth with witty, funny, honest people calling the games that fans will enjoy listening to whether they are winning or losing.

I think it's an untapped strategy to improve ratings. Nobody wants to hear Dallas Braden or Hunter Pence spout company lines because they don't want to upset their ball playing brethren.

If Lawrence Butler gets picked off cause he was sleeping for the league leading 6th time this year, let him have it. Don't need to be nasty, but you don't need to sprain your tongue as you're tripping all over yourself making excuses for him either....we are the ones watching the games, so why not give us what we want?
