I was diagnosed with IBS-C and I’ve tried a couple things already but nothing seems to totally work. I’m not to the point where I can’t use the bathroom for days but usually it’s a strain to use it during the afternoon and evenings and I’ll finally go in the mornings but it is a struggle to push anything out and most of the time it’s not smooth but kinda fluffy. I take Metamucil daily and when I’m really struggling to go I take miralax. How does everyone get their abdominal muscles to relax? I always feel tight and the bloating just makes the tightness work? I’m waiting for my appointment to start pelvic floor therapy but it can’t come soon enough. Thanks for any input and success stories.

I’m never really constipated for days but normally it will be for a day and a half and then finally something gets through and then it’s like the flood gates opening up but not solid stool. My stools seem more on the normal side when I’m slightly constipated and forcing stuff out. Also stool is always very light brown or more greenish after a bout of constipation. Anyone else experiencing similar things?
Recently diagnosed with IBS-M. Have bad health anxiety so my mind always goes to something serious. I’ve had multiple trips to the GI and blood work done and stool samples done. Even though my doctor says it’s all IBS it still freaks me out and I’m going through constant cycles. Most of the time I’m at a 5 on the chart for my stools. Funny thing is they seem more normal when I’m slightly constipated. Working on pelvic floor therapy so hopefully that helps. I just figured it would be nice to vent to others that are dealing with this horrible disorder. Any tips for controlling it and helping with getting back to normal stools. This has been happening on and off for just about a year now.
