Hi all,

36M, South East.
Aiming to be mortgage-free by 57.

We’re a family of five. I work full time, and my wife is due to return to work next month, which should bring in around £1,500 per month after tax. We each have a small pension pot abroad (around £20k each). My wife doesn’t currently have a UK pension.

Given that most of my pension contributions have only been made over the past five years, is retiring realistically achievable on this trajectory as a couple?

I’d really appreciate any advice…! particularly around whether a Stocks & Shares ISA would be a sensible addition alongside a standard workplace pension, and how best to think about diversification. Considering my current pension is salary sacrifice and the idea of a S&S ISA may not make long term sense?

Investment funds for my pension have gone up on average 9-10% a year.

My current pension fees are 0.1% per year.

Thanks in advance!
