So I've been looking into info on the new collab. 1st off I am very excited; however, I do have some questions. From what I've found the new meyers are using old JJ Babbit molds, so I assume they will be based on the New York, USA model meyers ( this is my main piece right now, I love it's resonance but also acknowledge that other professionals use older models made from French blanks that each have their own advantages). I am also under the impression that these are only available for also in select sizes and MM, and for only alto. Where i can find less info is on the tenor pieces, specifically the metal otto links. And, these interest me the most. They state that they are machined using vintage pieces as reference. My question is whether or not these will have the dimensions identical to vintage. The new york model ( which seems to be based off a tone master , or perhaps it is decorated like one and based off a NY double line) if based off a vintage piece, would be significantly shorter than a modern tenor piece. As would Florida, which is based off a double line. This, I would prefer, but understand if they went in a different direction ( opting for modern dimensions). Which stm is the stm based on? Will it be the early fat boys that were longer and thicker, this again, would be my preference (however, the new york and Florida interest me more, so perhaps I'm not the target audience). The early babbit fat boys would be intriguing to me for bari sax in rubber or metal; however, I can only find tenor pieces being offered. And that is a shame, the babbit bari pieces were arguably the best otto links ever made for bari, and breaking out those old molds would be great. Not to mention the fact that some of the most iconic bari sounds of the past few decades have come from theo wanne pieces via the Simpsons. Theo knows how to make a bari piece, and the arguably best babbit mold was the fat boy bari. Some more race track soprano pieces would be nice too. I know this is long, sorry.

Tldr: are the otto link theo wannes going to be shorter like the vintage pieces for the new york and Florida metal. And will we see other bari or soprano theo wanne babbit colabs.
