Not talked about enough, but it seems like every year, ACL brings on a headliner that seemingly has no major tour or album announced (yet) and makes it on the lineup. Some examples include: The Strokes last year, Dua Lipa in 2024, Paramore in 2022, Duran Duran in 2021 (replaced Stevie Nicks).

Point being, ACL does have a tendency to throw a big, completely random act on the lineup. With all of that considered, who's an artist or band thats #1 still an active group and #2 not on the speculation thread, and #3 no known Austin dates anytime soon that could theorhetically make sense
