My thesis is that this thread has lost it’s value and with that its credibility. The level of debates is no longer the debates I just to know and learn about in university.
Debates are not to prove the other wrong and claim objectivity over the facts you present, but a way to understand the other position and argue for which position is strongest.
I’m an atheist myself and I comment on both religions on this thread, I won’t name the religion were this narrative is dominant, but I see more and more ChatGPT generated answers. No intellectual debating, but claiming 100% objective truth over the other.
This is not a debate anymore, but a fight over who is right or wrong. I truly feel that AI has had a super negative impact on this thread, and I’ve talked to some mods a while back to adress this, but it’s almost impossible to keep it out.
Claim: ChatGPT and objective truth claims should be a reason to be banned from this thread. Think for yourself and accept that there is no objective truth.
