Hey everyone,

I had been subscribed to Claude Pro for more than a year, and it always charged me around $20 with no extra taxes or fees.

Later, I subscribed to Claude Max 100 for a while, and the $100 charge was processed normally as well.

A few days ago, I canceled my subscription, and today I subscribed again to Claude Pro. I was surprised that the amount charged became $22.8 because of an added 14% VAT tax.

Is this normal? Did Anthropic recently start applying VAT for users in Egypt? Or could there be an issue with the invoice or payment method?

If anyone from Egypt has experienced the same thing, please let me know.
