It fills me with absolute rage and anguish every time I see some bum say this. It literally just proves they either read Modulo with their eyes closed or they didn’t read Modulo at all.
First off, people like to say Dabura was scared of Mahoraga. No, he was just in a terrible mental state, he thought he was going to lose because the moves he always uses are completely nullified now and he thought at that moment there was zero way to hurt Mahoraga, this is because he had no idea about Mahoraga’s adaptation, and so he basically let him adapt freely without knowing it. The only reason he’s even caught by Mahoraga’s attacks here is by his complete shock of the situation.
As soon as Dabura decides to actually try he easily catches Mahoraga’s punch. Right after that he proceeds to brutally speed blitz Mahoraga and almost completely destroy him. The only reason he didn’t destroy him is because Dabura decided for absolutely no reason at all to attack Mahoraga physically before his big kick, which caused Mahoraga to adapt. As stated by Dabura, it is easier for Mahoraga to adapt to physical attacks than CT’s, which means Mahoraga was almost completely adapted just off of that one attack on his hand.
Then right after his kick, even with a heavily damaged, practically destroyed leg, he is able to easily dodge every single one of Mahoraga’s attacks with his eyes closed. This just shows how much stronger he is when he’s not in shock and actually trying.
Then people try to say “but Mahoraga was gonna win anyways!” No shit bro. Put literally any other character in Dabura’s situation and it would be much worse for them. If given enough time Mahoraga beats anyone in the verse, that’s just how it is. Somehow people seem to forget that A LOT.
Dabura performed amazingly against a Mahoraga that strong actually. His light beams showed some of the strongest immediate attack hits on Mahoraga, he was almost able to brute force one shot Mahoraga with his kick even after he was adapting already to brute force, and he was able to get Mahoraga to a point where he started adapting to Dabura’s existence.
Stop saying Dabura is Mahoraga level. Dabura gaps Mahoraga badly (and the rest of the verse).
