Lately, I have been wanting to quit my job and cuss my boss out, I started as a driver working for a trucking company and now went into management for the same company. I technically have 4 bosses, 2 are here in our state and the other 2 out of state, my 1 main boss comes and goes out of state. Recently, my main boss has been berating me and my shop mechanics over the phone (I talk to him 20 plus times a day and I get ALL the heat for it) I work with a bunch of 19-20 year old kids and everytime they do a work order wrong I get blamed for it. My daily task includes: coordinating truck and trailer to and from terminals, talk to dealership, order parts, check codes on trucks and run advanced diagnosis, run carb inspection (it’s a smog but for semi trucks) figure out what to do if we can or cannot fix a truck, get trucks ready for new drivers, input orders into the system we use, write inspection for trucks (I got certified), talk to over 20 plus drivers a day, talk to all my bosses of my phone constantly, everyday I want to blow up at all of them, that’s how bad I am starting to hate working for this company. Today I was hanging on a thread, I felt so bad cussing out 3 drivers today and I personally know them, it’s just the job is really stressing me out and talking to
My boss will do no good, they are extremely stubborn. When I’m off I get calls, when I’m on vacation I get calls, when I’m off of work I get calls, in the middle of the night I get calls. I basically run there business, we even moved terminals and NONE of my bosses were there, it was only me and my guys. Pay is okay but I am starting to look into other opportunities, my wife is worried about my stress levels. In addition, I have my own tool box so i also help out with repairs
