I've lost 40 lbs from a low calorie diet & never tracked my macros. Now, I'm working on body recomp, I've been doing strength training 4x a week in the gym, plus power walking/running at least a mile on those days. So of course, I changed my diet to match since I need to build all the muscle I'm working on right ? Ever since I started, I feel gassy & bloated 90% of the time. Meals HURT to eat. I feel like I'm force feeding myself & the meals aren't even that big...they're just super high in protein/carbs/both. I'm 5'3 & have been maintaining 125 lbs on 1400 calories a day with 160g of carbs & 115 g of protein daily. I've definitely stopped losing & I feel so much stronger & even can see some very slight gains.
But I'm just so tired of my stomach hurting 247. Tonight I had a large amount of carbs & protein & I'm currently DYING in the bath tub with severe stomach pain. I can't do it anymore. I just want to go back to easy light meals. I can't go on like this.
