How is everyone getting started? Advice on flashcard use?

I'm starting my bar prep tomorrow and I'm signed up for Barbri, so I'm definitely going to be going through it's recommended activities for the day. My question is, how is everyone supplementing from the very beginning? I'm a flash card learner but only if I make them myself, so I definitely want to do that. Is that something most people make as they watch the lectures, read through outlines, something else? Should I hit the ground running making them or wait? I see people online talking about taking notes/making posters/etc. but when are people starting that? I hope my question makes sense! I just want to build a good process including and outside of my Barbri course. I do plan on getting Adaptibar but I was thinking of waiting until I've gotten a little ways into the course.

I'm sorry if this is duplicative! I'm honestly mostly curious about what people are doing with flashcards that has been helpful because it's the best way I learned throughout law school but I always built them from my outlines and this feels different. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! *also first time test taker if that makes a difference in your advice.
