I am currently 27w3d pregnant with my first baby! I am 36 years old and have been type one diabetic for 11 years. I found out I was pregnant on Nov 10th 2025 with an A1C of 6 (Nov 8th). I was 10 dpo when I found out.
Around week 16 on Feb 12th my A1C was 5.5!! First time in my diabetic life I have had a non diabetic A1C!!
I had it drawn again yesterday April 28 at 27 weeks and it’s again 5.5!
At my anatomy scan (19w4d) and I had a growth scan at 24w4d my baby was in the 99th percentile both times. At the 24 week scan my baby was measuring almost 3 weeks ahead! I have another growth scan next week at 28w4d. I would guess she will still be big! Just wondering if anyone has had this experience. I would like to go into natural labor but if she is getting so big I am not sure that will happen. I am doing my best to control my blood sugar but I may just grow big babies lol I am 5’10” and slightly overweight. My husband is 5’11” and slim. Thanks for any advice!
