On April 11, 2023, in Pazigyi village, while an opening ceremony for a public administration office led by the National Unity Government (NUG) was being held, the military council carried out an airstrike. As of April 13, 2023, confirmed reports stated that 111 men, 25 women, and 38 children were killed, bringing the total death toll to 174.
In the airstrike on Pazigyi village in Kanbalu Township, it was reported that among those killed, only 18 were members of the People’s Defense Force (PDF), People’s Security Force, and People’s Administration. The remaining approximately 150 victims were civilians. This was announced by U Nay Phone Latt, spokesperson from the Prime Minister’s Office of the National Unity Government (NUG), during a press briefing on April 16, 2023.
၂၀၂၃ ခုနှစ် ဧပြီလ ၁၁ ရက်နေ့တွင် ပဇီကြီးကျေးရွာတွင် အမျိုးသားညီညွတ်ရေးအစိုးရ ၏ ဦးဆောင်မှုဖြင့် ပြည်သူ့အုပ်ချုပ်ရေးရုံးဖွင့်ပွဲပြုလုပ်နေစဉ်စစ်ကောင်စီက လေကြောင်းမှ တိုက်ခိုက်မှုပြုလုပ်ခဲ့သဖြင့် ဧပြီလ ၁၃ ရက်နေ့ ၂၀၂၃ အထိ အတည်ပြုချက်အရ အမျိုးသား ၁၁၁ ဦး၊ အမျိုးသမီး ၂၅ ဦး၊ ကလေးသူငယ် ၃၈ ဦး၊ စုစုပေါင်း ၁၇၄ ဦး သေဆုံးခဲ့သည်။
ကန့်ဘလူနယ် ပဇီကြီးကျေးရွာအား စစ်ကောင်စီမှ လေကြောင်းမှတိုက်ခိုက်၍ သေဆုံးသူများတွင်ပြည်သူ့ကာကွယ်ရေး(ပကဖ)၊ ပြည်သူ့လုံခြုံရေး(ပလဖ)နှင့် ပြည်သူ့အုပ်ချုပ်ရေး(ပအဖ)တာဝန်ယူထားသူ ၁၈ ဦးသာပါဝင်ပြီး ကျန် ၁၅၀ ဦးမှာပြည်သူများသာဖြစ်ကြောင်းအမျိုးသားညီညွတ်ရေးအစိုးရ-NUG အစိုးရ၊ ဝန်ကြီးချုပ်ရုံး ပြောရေးဆိုခွင့်ရှိသူ ဦးနေဘုန်းလတ်က ဧပြီ ၁၆ ၂၀၂၃ တွင် ပြုလုပ်သော သတင်းစာရှင်းလင်းပွဲတွင် ပြောကြားထုတ်ပြန်ခဲ့သည်။
