Why do not the toys leave?
Toy story 5 is approaching and I managed to see some unwanted spoilers alas, and this leads to my question(which is although not spoilers-related, just to be clear).
We know that in toy story 5 the toys are threatened by technology and consequently they fear being left out and forgotten by their child. Therefore I was wondering: if the toys know that they soon will be put in a box and maybe given away, why don’t they leave?
Is that because it will be very suspicious if a bunch of toys disappear all together or because they are very faithful to their owner anyways and their own purpose is to be “played with”?
If I were a toy and knew that my owner is gonna give me away or put me in a box in the attic I think I will try to escape and to convince the others to do so as well. Nobody is gonna be played with anymore, so maybe leaving is for the best?
