Student nurses
i absolutely hate my first placement. it’s my first placement ever, the literal introduction to my entire career and they’re just outright horrible, putrid people. the shit talking about patients who are dependent on them absolutely disgusts me. the way they treat me as lesser then everyone absolutely disgusts me. my RN i’m following is a new grad and she is downright the fakest, most toxic person i’ve ever actually met. i was hoping and praying so hard for this to be a good first placement but all they do is talk shit about you. like today we were slammed, and i sat down to chart some vital signs and the nurse i was shadowing WAS ONE METRE AWAY and talking about how much of a burden i am purely because im “ignorant with medication”? literally all ik how to do is take vitals and make beds, obviously i dont know which medication out of 200 effect cholesterol????? its just all making me feel really horrible about becoming a nurse.
