I am a legal resident at a newly built condo near BTS Bangna, and I am writing this to expose the blatant racism and discriminatory practices occurring here.

Today, while I and three other Myanmar residents were at the smoking area, police officers arrived and specifically targeted only us. They demanded our passports and falsely accused us of using marijuana. What makes this a clear case of Racial Profiling:

  1. Selective Harassment: There were other foreign nationals (Westerners) at the scene who were actually smoking at that time. The police and Condo Security completely ignored them and came straight to interrogate us instead.

  2. Systematic Racism: This isn't an isolated incident. I have evidence that Black residents in this condo are also frequently subjected to racist treatment and harassment by the staff or through targeted reports.

It is clear that a "Selective Security" policy is being practiced here. If you are from Myanmar or a person of color, you are treated as a suspect. If you are from a Western country, the rules don't seem to apply to you, even when you are clearly violating them.

It appears that someone in this building is making malicious false reports based on racial bias, and the Condo Management/Security is enabling this harassment. We pay the same high rent and CAM fees as everyone else, yet we are denied the basic respect and privacy we are entitled to.

I have already filed a formal complaint with the management. However, given how they treat people of color here, I am not hopeful. I am sharing this to warn others who are considering moving to this area.

Has anyone else experienced similar racial profiling in condos around the Bangna area? I would appreciate any advice on how to handle this with the authorities or legal experts.
