I feel like my skin shading style sometimes doesn't work for the outfit styles I go for.
My shading is inspired from how Jingles shades, but with a few tweaks to comply with my rig I use for rendering

This is my shading for female skins

For females I do something like the attached image. I sometimes use the belly button if I have the character wearing a crop top, but I don't always include it.

This is my shading for males

My shading for males is similar, but I don't do male skins that often.
