I know that there is always the buyback option for months that MOHELA has dragged their feet.

However, has anyone had success in going back and getting those months to count towards a processing forbearance? I began a consolidation way back in June 2024. It was approved and paid in August 2024. However, it took me until April 2025 to finally start paying, and that was after resubmitting paperwork that I had submitted in June 2024.

I would love to know if it would be feasible to get credit for those months in a processing forbearance rather than the buyback process. I hear the buyback process is taking over a year…
