I'm using GFN from the Philippines region. I tried playing on the Japan server but my ISP seems to have bad routing to it, and I get ~180-200 ms latency (1st image). I tried a free VPN, and it gets much better but packet loss becomes quite an issue. I checked on the India server and my latency is shown to be at around 80 ms, but the ping shown in the game itself (I played Genshin in the images) is at ~120-130 ms (2nd image) whereas it's only under 10 ms in Japan server. Because of this, despite having better GFN latency in the India server, the delay feels the same as, if not worse than, that in Japan server where I have significantly worse GFN latency.
Does my setup only affect the GFN latency, or can I also do something about the in-game pings or is it only affected by the virtual machines provided on the cloud servers?
