Which reading books did you have at school?

As you do, I was just idly thinking about stuff when I found myslef thinking about the reading books we had at school in the 1980s. I love to read and it all started with those dog-eared reading books!

I remember we used Sound Sense, Carry on Reading and Wide Range Readers. The WRR books we had were from the 1950s and had some odd themes, like the story of what happened when a boy left the milk out in the kitchen.

You felt a rush when you were getting towards the end of a particular book, and you sort of competed with your classmates on who had got there first. Also the books, at least at our school, had been used for years, and were well worn, dog-eared and had names written in the front.

I found this marvellous treasure-trove of reading book covers.

What do you remember about reading books at school? What do they use these days to get kids reading?

We are in the market for security cameras and looking at the Eufycam S3 Pro bundle. reading reviews, there is a ton of AI features and stuff like human and pet recognition, that we wouldn't make use of. Is it possible to simply use the system to record surveillance and retrieve clips, no auto sorting by event, no facial recognition etc?
