These small stones were given to me as alabaster by stone carvers in one of those tourist trap operations outside the Valley of the Kings in Luxor after I showed significant interest in the uncut stones, which looked like quartz to me. Immediately next to the carvers was a large pile of large uncut stones so I do believe that these are in fact some sort of rock not resin but I’d like to know what type.
